The declaration of the COVID-19 pandemic has led to panic kind situation all over the world. This caught the limelight on December 31st, 2019 when the World Health Organization was notified that in Wuhan city in Hubei Province, China an uncontrollable pneumonia sort of disease is spreading due to unknown cause.
After the declaration of such a pandemic, the front-line health workers came into action in saving the nation from what was about to be an apocalypse. Every healthcare worker initiated their work like a soldier who is in a warzone and prepared for a battle and some doing 24 hrs shifts just to make sure no patient is left unattended not just the government even private hospitals initiated the program without the notification from government and the treatment is being provided to the person in need. For private hospitals, my attention turned to the KALINGA INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCE (KIMS), Bhubaneswar, Odisha as they created a separate department for COVID patients and it was named COVID Hospital. The KIMS COVID hospital was inaugurated on 2nd April by the CM of Odisha Mr. Naveen Patnaik via video conferencing and it is
functional in the presence of the MP of Kandhamal, founder of KALINGA INSTITUTE OF INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY (KIIT) and KALINGA INSTITUTE OF SOCIAL SCIENCE (KISS) Dr. Achyuta Samanta was also present at the inauguration ceremony.
This being a big step against the Corona Virus the complete credit goes to the COVID team and frontline workers also the central and state government.
